A Likkle Miss Lou: How Jamaican Poet Louise Bennett Coverley Found Her Voice

A Likkle Miss Lou: How Jamaican Poet Louise Bennett Coverley Found Her Voice is a biographical picture book published in August 2019 by Owlkids.  The formal announcement was made on May 15, 2018 in Quill & Quire and Publishers Weekly.  Being of Jamaican heritage and influenced by the work of Miss Lou, I am quite excited about this book as I had started writing it seven years ago.  The book will be illustrated by Eugenie Fernandes and on sale just in time for the 100th anniversary of Louise Bennett's birth.  Please find a sneak peek below.  Order your copy today here.
